McCORMICK-STILLMAN RAILROAD PARK

This was a fun day at the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale. Scott discovered it cause he does some maintenance on golf carts close by. We got to ride a train, go on a carousel ride, and walk through a train that some of the presidents of the united states have ridden on. We met up with our friends there, and that was nice to see them and catch up.

Easter Sunday!!!

Here is some pictures from easter sunday. I did not get any pictures of the kids with their baskets, or any of the easter egg hunts they went on. We had a great easter, and the kids got to see their cousins.

As for Ashlynn she had her final evaulation through Arizona's Children, and they diagnosed her with High Performing Autism, and Seperation Anxiety. They might have to give her medication for the seperation anxiety in the future but I am trying everything I can to prevent that from happening. We are concerned that she will not have an easy time going to early intervention and we dont want that to interfear with all the help she can be getting, so they might have to give her something that will just calm her nerves enough that she can go to her classes, and then once she gets the hang of things, and is comfortable they will take her off of the medication. She has not been going to Sunbeams for the last month or two, and I dont konw what to do to get her to go. So she is doing good. I have a few sources that I am going through to get her all the help we can. Or that our funds will allow. So she is doing good, and we are working with her so that she might go to sunbeams soon.

Coleton is so big. He talks alot, and is in the terrible two's got to love them. He teases his sister, and I have to put that to an end. It is hard though. He makes us laugh he is so funny, and he knows it. He is so full of energy and still sleeps all the time. He is taking two naps a day, and goes to bed at 8 or 9 and wakes up around 7:30.

We are so grateful for our kids even with Ashlynn's new found disabilaty we are grateful for her and her sweet spirit. She is always trying to hard to learn and figure this world out, but it seems so confusing to her at times. We cant wait to learn more about autism, and what we can do to help her.

WARNING!!!

I have officially started school. My wonderful life as just a stay at home mom has ended until Scott is done with school. Watch out for my grumpyness, unsocial like, moody, irritable, and all the other things that come with school, and being a mom combined.

Okay I actually was just warning everyone that I will not be updating my blog like I usually would. I am extremly busy, and hardly have a moment to talk on the phone, and it has been frusterating, but makes these long day of my husband being in school seem much shorter. My classes started this week, and I have completed at least half of the assignments, and one test. So I guess I am doing good.

Other than that all is well.... I just got back from my wonderful vacation away from my kids. According to Scott they had more fun while I was gone then they do while I am home. I think that is just cause they were probably disapline free for four days. We are just busy trying to cram in our education that I wish I would have done earlier in life. And keeping up with Ashlynn's evaluations, and keeping Coleton from beating up his sister. That kid is a monster.

The only one nice thing about living in the desert!!!

I decided that I had better post something so people don't think I fell off the face of the earth. My life has been really busy lately, and I have a whole week off of being terrible busy.
We have had BEAUTIFUL weather in the desert. It has been in the 70's, and this is the only time of year that I like Arizona, but aside from that I hate it. No surprise to anyone that knows me. But it has been great, but this only means that it is going to be scorching hot sooner. You cant win. We went to the park yesterday, and it was windy and just so nice. We went and looked at the ducks, and let the kids play at the park. On Saturday we went swimming, and got some sun.
I am really excited I get to go to Las Vegas in 2 weeks all by my self with my sisters. No kids, and no husband. This will be the first time I get to go out of town without any kids. I know crazy, but I am really excited to have 4 days with no kids. AHHHH that will be great. Thanks to the wonderful inlaws that I have. I am really lucky to have such great inlaws. Not many people can say that they like there inlaws. but i love mine.
The kids are doing great. Ashlynn is still getting all of her screening so she can get in home care. I cant wait until this is all over, and she is just getting the help she needs. She is really smart and is doing really well. She is still not perfect at the whole potty training thing, but she is doing good enough. Coleton is just hitting the terrible twos, and he is not going to be pleasant. He gets really mad and he lets you know, by hitting, yelling, screaming, kicking. what ever he can control at the time. He is pretty fun when he is happy. He has a really funny personality, we are loving his cute moments that he has at times. He loves to boss everyone around. Scott is just loving school which is weird, but that is just him. He loves to learn. He will be quiting work in the fall, and just going to school. I think he is looking forward to getting rid of that stress. He gets really great grades. Learning just comes so easy to him. Good thing!!! I am just trying to keep up on all four of my callings, and hope I can keep up with everything come time I start school, work, callings and kids. I might have an emotional break down. But we will see. Other than that I am doing great and loving the weather. Loving my kids, and my husband. I just never see him.
